As the year 2010 comes to an end, Google has released a list of top applications among 250 installable apps. As a recap of the closing year and a preview of the best in the year ahead the Marketplace has put Applane CRM in its list of Top 3 in the CRM category. It has been ranked 3rd amongst the top installed apps in the CRM category on Google Apps Marketplace. We thank the numerous users for their continuous faith in our product offering.
The rating given by Google is a proof of our product’s success on the marketplace since its launch in May, 2010. Now that we have launched a new version in the Google App Engine, we believe we have improvised on our product and made it more intuitive, faster and scalable.

We have been silent for quite some time. But this silence was not a sign of stagnancy but of the coming of a new wave in the world of online CRM for small and mid size businesses. After weeks of sleepless nights and intense hard work the Applane Team has come up a new version of Applane CRM which will have its servers in the Google App Engine.
Applane CRM is now faster and more scalable and has successfully moved to the Google App Engine. Applane CRM is now integrated with Billing API from the Google Apps Marketplace. Now you no longer have to worry about cumbersome payment process. Just register your license requirement and like you book online tickets for a movie, you can now purchase Applane CRM licenses.
PS: Though we are doing the best from our end, since this is a transition phase from one server to another there may be certain inconveniences caused regarding data transfer and server downtime for a couple of days. I humbly request all users to please bear with us and support us by immediately contacting us as soon as they face any such problems. We assure you that they will be dealt with on top priority basis.
Last but not the least I thank you all for all the patience and support you have shown so far. We really appreciate your patronage.

From the time we released the first version of Applane CRM in the marketplace we have received exciting responses. Users have also shared intelligent feedback along with feature requirements. We have suitably incorporated the requirements and feedbacks which have been in our product road map and will be releasing them to users in a phased manner in our upcoming releases.
We have put together a new version that we believe will be better not only in terms of the added features but also in terms of the new and improved Sales Life Cycle. Now you can go through the entire sales process of Applane CRM without having to go through different tabs. Reporting has also been made more intuitive and thus clubbed as a separate category in itself. Please find below the list of new features that we have incorporated in the New Applane CRM:
- New improved intuitive import data feature
- Sales cycle now also supports workflow for individual contacts
- Capture lead from websites
- Support for Google Billing API
- User Defined Columns
You will have access to most of the above mentioned features immediately after the launch. There are some features, however, that are in progress and might just take a few more days to access. They will be so because we have a tie up with Google Apps so things need to be worked out in that regard. I request all users to please give us a little consideration on this.

Endorsing the great reviews we’ve been receiving in the marketplace since our launch, Vangie Beal, a veteran online seller and frequent contributor to eCommerce reviewed Applane CRM on behalf of eCRMGuide.com and gave a review on the application.
Quoting from the review, “The Google Apps Marketplace currently offers a number of CRM applications, including social CRM and project-based CRM apps. One CRM application that is currently receiving positive reviews from Google Apps users is Daffodil Software’s Applane CRM.
Applane CRM lets business and enterprise users track a complete sales lifecycle; you can track contacts, sales, RFPs, determine which of your sales team members are keeping on-task, who is producing sales, analyze marketing trends, and even send bulk emails from within the application to customers and contacts.”

We are happy to announce the release of Google Contextual Gadget using which you can create an opportunity in Applane CRM right from your Google mail.
Now you can create an opportunity on the fly from your Google mail account. A contextual gadget will appear at the bottom of the mail with the option to “Create an Opportunity”. When user clicks on the button the panel will expand with fields required for creating the opportunity like ‘opportunity title’, ‘owner email id’, ‘organization name’, ‘website address’, ‘contact name’ etc. The fields which can make use of information from the current email will be populated with default values to save unnecessary effort.
On clicking the ‘save’ button, an Organization, Contact and Opportunity will automatically be created in Applane CRM. Additionally, the email will be attached to the communication thread. This functionality is useful for the sales team and will save a lot of time otherwise required to achieve the same result.

Applane CRM's integration with Google Calendar enables you to keep track your follow-ups (next actions) in a single view. Now you need not sign in to Applane CRM to know the list of follow ups planned for any date. You can keep reminders of your meetings and follow ups through your calendar in sync with your CRM. Following up does not get any simpler!!
From within Applane CRM you also have the unique ability to know the number of appointments you have fixed on a particular day so that you can avoid overburdening your day with too many action items. For this you do not have to navigate at all, just glance at the ‘Total Actions’ in the ‘Record Actions’ page while specifying a follow up date. You will know how many actions you have already engaged yourself in for the date you have chosen.
Applane CRM makes managing your follow ups so easy.

Since our launch on Google Apps Marketplace, we have been receiving queries on our integration with Google Contacts and Google Email. So we have been working simultaneously on the two integrations. After days of concentrated efforts we have rolled out Applane CRM’s integration with Google Contacts.
We believe this integration will be of great value addition to all users of Applane CRM giving them a smooth start up experience. Now you are just a click away from importing all your contacts from your Google mail account. Not only can you now import the contacts, organizations will also be created based on your contacts’ email addresses. But that is not all !! The newly created organizations & contacts will be mapped to each other with just the click of a single button.
Do give it a try and let us know your feedback.
